Spring Musical performers are giving School Board members a sneak peek of Mean Girls!
Things are heating up in the High School gym to prepare for the Staff/Student basketball game!
If you will be in grades 7th - 12th next school year and are interested in earning dual credit for college and high school, please join the counselors for the College Credit Plus (CCP) Family Info Night on Wednesday, February 5th. The meeting will be held in the High School auditorium from 5:30 pm-6:30 pm.
All students interested (including students who have already taken CCP courses) should attend and complete an Intent to Participate form. The Intent to Participate form is due by April 1, 2025.
Congratulations to Jerel Freeman. He is currently a Restorative Justice Coach at the High School. He will be adding Football Coach to his resume for the upcoming season! It was just made official at the Board of Education meeting!

It's the season of giving, and High School students were participating in a blood drive. Did you know that students who give blood in High School are more likely to continue to do so as adults?
The High School is hosting a College Fair today for students so they may explore options after graduation. Later in the year there will be a Career Fair where they can meet representatives from trade schools and businesses. The gym will soon be filled with curious students!
It was an honor to be chosen as the host school for the Jostens Renaissance Better Than Good Tour! Students from 28 area High Schools attended to hear keynote speakers and participate in breakout sessions. The focus of the day was creating a positive environment. Some lines from the keynote speakers included, "If you talk behind someone's back, you will always be behind them," and "You don't choose your life, but you do get to choose how to live it." Another important line for student leaders was, "They won't follow what you say, but they will follow what you do." These are powerful words for our young people as well as adults!
Would you like to support High School Sports teams? It's as easy as going to McDonald's and using your app. Choose one of two locations - 2757 Alex Bell Road or 741 E. Dixie Drive. Proceeds will be used for the West Carrollton bowling team. Go Pirates!

Sometimes I'm driving down I-75 and I get a glimpse of the construction going on at the High School, then I remember --- Eyes Up, Phones Down, Go Slow (but not too slow because I'm on the highway). This time I was in the passenger seat and able to get some pictures to share!
Tonight's game was amazing having our Pee-wee teams and their parents. I'd like to thank everyone who came out to support our kiddos!

Caffeine and kindness -- the Pirate Bay Cafe is open for business! Job Coach, Dionne Jilani, works with students in the student-run coffee shop. Located at the High School, students learn job skills from making coffee to running the cash register. Students are also mastering customer service skills as they say "thank you" to their customers!
High School secretaries work as a team. After all, it's a work of heart!
