“Unity in the Community” is a partnership between Versiti Blood Center, Universal 1 Credit Union, West Carrollton, and Miamisburg High Schools, for hosting blood drives and supporting local needs in the community.
Unity in the Community is designed to make everyone a winner and build unity by committing to a common cause.
To take part in the campaign, each school hosts a blood drive. The schools then alternate choosing a charity to receive the $1,000 Unity Award sponsored by Universal 1 Credit Union.
The 2024 Unity in the Community Campaign began November 8, 2024, with the Miamisburg High School blood drive and concluded December 13, 2024, with the West Carrollton High School blood drive. The students helped save up to 426 lives with their donations and earned over 180 hours of community service.
