Meet Kaylah. She has been a Pirate since preschool. She has maintained a balance with extracurricular activities and academics throughout High School.
Kaylah has participated in National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America (BPA) and Muse Machine while also serving on the Homecoming committee and participating in Game Club when she has time.
Her experience with BPA earned her a trip to the national competition in 2024 where she placed twelfth in Advanced Interview Skills. She is continuing her affiliation with BPA and says she is working hard to earn a second trip to the national competition. Kaylah has been taking College Credit Plus (CCP) classes through Clark State in sociology and psychology and will apply the credits she earns towards a degree in psychology at Wright State. She has already received a green and gold scholarship that will pay half of her tuition costs.
Her long-term goal is to achieve a doctorate in psychiatry. While the final grade point averages are yet to be calculated, she already has above a 4.2 GPA. Reflecting on her time in West Carrollton, she said, “I hope I’ve made an impact on people.” Teachers who have made an impact on her include High School Teachers, Mr. Earl and Mrs. Earl and Middle School science teacher, Mr. McNeil. “They made school fun, not boring!”
Her advice to other students is, “It’s never too late to start something. I just started BPA last year! Congratulations Kaylah! You will always be a Pirate! #westcarrolltonclassof2025
