Ohio Buckeye Girls and Boys State Representatives

Ohio Buckeye Boys State and Ohio Buckeye Girls State is a week-long summer program to develop leadership skills, learn how government works, and the responsibilities of good citizenship.

The delegates from West Carrollton Schools for Ohio Buckeye Girls State are Deja Glover, Makenna McCune, Alahna Ramby and Victoria Wagner. Ohio Buckeye Girls State is sponsored by The American Legion Auxiliary and will be held at Bowling Green State University. The number of attendees fluctuates from year to year, but there are typically 500 to 600 girls from across the state who participate. The delegates who attend learn about city, county and state government, and the rights and responsibilities of good citizenship. The delegates from West Carrollton Schools for Ohio Buckeye Boys State are Zayne Gephart, Michael Goodspeed, Koen Hicswa, Ladarius Perry, and Hayden Viars. Ohio Buckeye Boys State is sponsored by The American Legion Auxiliary and will be held at Miami University. Over 1,200 boys from across the state are expected to participate. The delegates will have a hands-on experience in the operation of the democratic form of government, the organization of political parties, and the relationship of one to the other in shaping Ohio’s government.
