Senior Spotlight

Meet Ben. He has been a Pirate since preschool. Following graduation, Ben will attend the University of Cincinnati to earn a degree in education and become a Social Studies teacher.

His love of history began in Middle School and has played a part in his decision to become a Social Studies teacher. During High School, he participated in baseball and soccer. While he has enjoyed both sports, his favorite is baseball, and he is looking forward to the upcoming season and playing for the Pirates. Ben has been part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a member of Student Council since his Sophomore year. He has served as the Student Body President in his Junior and Senior year.

Besides academics and athletics, Ben has used his time in High School to learn about himself and figure out what he wants to do after graduation. He credits Social Studies teacher, Mr. Austin, for making world history fun; Mrs. Carlisle for being his school mom and having an impact on all students; and Ms. Pasala for giving him a passion for writing and inspiring him to go in-depth with his thoughts.

When asked what he will miss most about WC, Ben said, “Walking the hallways, seeing my friends and teachers, and all of the things we take for granted.” His 10-year goal is to be teaching (maybe in West Carrollton?) and be on his own. Congratulations Ben! You will always be a Pirate! #westcarrolltonclassof2025
